Join in at Arts Muster on the October long weekend (5-7 October) and release your inner creative. All workshops will be held at Korowal School in Hazelbrook, Blue Mountains NSW. I will be teaching:
Garment Reconstruction as a two day workshop Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October – This workshop aims to inspire creative thinking about ways to extend the useful life of unloved clothes. Bring along a few garments from your wardrobe or op shop finds that need repair, alteration, updating or reimagining.
Ideas will be discussed to adapt your clothes and make changes by disassembling, rearranging, adding to and/or embellishing using easy hand and machine sewing. You may like to remake two or three items into one, visibly mend an item or remake it altogether! The workshop will be driven by the mending and alteration projects bought along by you. BOOK NOW
Visible Mending on Monday 7 October as a full day workshop. Mending is a great life skill which can save you money, save your clothes and reduce your impact on the environment. It becomes an opportunity for wonderful decoration along with saving money and reducing the amount of clothing going to landfill.
