Stanthorpe Art Festival

Entries close Monday 21 March 2016

Entries are now open for the 2016 Stanthorpe Art Festival.

Every two years, artists from around Australia and the rest of the world, are invited to participate in the Stanthorpe Art Festival. 2016 boasts two very impressive judges. Ron Ramsey from the Ian Potter Museum of Art at the University of Melbourne will judge 2D works and Jason Smith from QAGoMA in Brisbane will judge 3D works.

Judges will carry out their own pre selection from entries received. At the final judging prior to opening night each judge will select a winner from their area and then work together to select the overall winner.

The festival is open to both emerging and professional artists and both 2D and 3D artwork is encouraged. Entries are now open and artists who enter will have the chance of winning one of the seven prizes including the $20 000 major prize.

In 2016 there are 7 prizes from $500 – $20,000.

The competition is open to local, national and international artists. Cost: $30 to enter per entry.
