Kitsugi is a Japanese mending technique where broken ceramics are repaired with gold, silver or platinum to accentuate the damage and ‘honour’ its history. Interpreting this method in textiles each broken piece is wrapped in fabric and then gold embroidery thread is used to patch the pieces together.Textile kinstugi - Karhina.com
