VICARTS Grant Round Open

Round applications close at 5pm, Wednesday 17 February, for activities commencing after 1 June 2016.
 The VicArts Grants program invests in the creative endeavours and professional practice of Victoria’s artists and smaller arts companies. It provides one-off support for discrete projects and programs that will develop and bring dynamism to Victoria’s arts sector.

The program is open to new ideas, new modes of practice and new approaches to delivery that will build on Victoria’s position as a leader in Australia’s creative arts sector. Applications to the program are encouraged from a wide range of art forms and artistic activities.

VicArts Grants will support projects and programs across one or more of the following areas:

  • Creative Development of new works across visual art, literature, cross-disciplinary practice  and performance (including but not limited to dance, theatre, cabaret, opera and music)
  • Presentation of an original art work or curated program (including but not limited to arts festivals or a series of performances, literary works and exhibitions)
  • Collaborations between Victorian Communities and professional artists.
  • National and International residencies/presentations/touring.

The VicArts Grants program accepts applications from individuals and organisations including arts, non-arts, community and local government (also see General Eligibility).

The primary focus of the proposal must include:

  • Victorian-based individual professional arts practitioners (emerging to established) and/or Victorian-based professional arts ensembles and organisations AND an artistic project/program.

Wyndam Art Prize 2016

Call for Entries for the Wyndham Art Prize 2016

  • Non-acquisitive prize of $10,000
  • $6,000 of prizes from Deakin University
  • People’s Choice Award of $2,000

The Wyndham Art Prize (the Prize) is an open prize and exhibition with first prize being awarded as a non-acquisitive prize of $10,000 and a People’s Choice Award of $2,000.  Deakin University also offers a bursary prize, CREATE@DEAKIN*  of $2,000 for a selected artist to study Honours or Masters of Creative Arts and $4,000 for a selected artist to undertake a PhD candidature at Deakin University.

The Prize is conducted by Wyndham Art Gallery (the Gallery) on behalf of the Wyndham City Council. The Prize is open to all Australian artists (citizens of Australia or residents for at least 12 months).

Works chosen for the exhibition will be pre-selected from digital images. Artists may enter a maximum of two works completed since 1 January 2014 All works submitted must be available for display.
