NorthCity4 Open Day and sale this Sunday

NorthCity4 will be rolling up the roller door on Sunday the 6th December and we invite you to come and check out Northcity4 from the inside. Come and meet Northcity4’s studio artists and some invited guests and peruse and purchase their beautiful handmade wares. You will also be able to partake in our sausage sizzle and sip on a glass of wine or icy cold beer.

Unfortunately we don’t have credit card facilities so please bring cash!

A presentation on Australia Council for the Arts and Creative Victoria’s funding programs for independent artists and arts organisations. Hear about the Australia Council’s development of a new grants model which will support a diverse range of artists, artistic practice, organisations and arts activity. The new model will make it easier and simpler to apply for grants. To be followed by a Q&A forum on current funding opportunities at Australia Council and Creative Victoria.

What are the prospects for public art in Moreland? This panel discussion will look at the interests of artists creating work in the public sphere and how Council can respond to new and emerging trends in public art. Is Moreland’s public art program providing the right platforms? Are public commission briefs too prescriptive? Come hear industry leaders reflect on these issues and have your say.

This forum will be followed by the announcement of the 2015 MoreArt Awards.
